GA Milestones:
Milestones testing will begin next Wednesday, May 3rd. Please see the schedule below and ensure your child gets a good nights sleep and arrives before 7:40am on testing days. If they are not feeling well, please do not send them to school and they can make up the test on another day!
While we have been talking with the students about the assessment, we want to reinforce that this assessment helps to play a role in them passing 3rd and 5th grade. We want ALL students to do their very best and feel encouraged and supported by both the school and their families. Please help to reinforce that they have learned so much this year and this is their chance to show how much they have grown and should be proud of their hard work!
What are we focusing on this upcoming week?
Writing: This week we wrote an original story using details from two nonfiction texts and then write a story off of a fable. Next week, we will review opinion and informational essays before we start Milestones Wednesday.
Reading: Next week, we will review a few more practice passages and questions. Then we will take a break from reading and writing while we take the first 3 days of ELA GA Milestones.
Math: We finished unit 7 and reviewed for the test this week. Next week, we will review all of the standards to prepare for GA Milestones.

Next week in advanced math...
We will put a pause on our current unit so that all 4th grade students can review all 4th grade math standards before Milestones. We will review a unit each day so students get a refresh on things they will be tested on.
