PBIS (School Wide Behavior Expectations)
Panther PAWS have been seen all over New Prospect! PAWS illustrates our new school wide behavior program being implemented this year. Panther PAWS outline consistent expectations for students, staff and parents. Students will hear of Pride, Attitude, Wise choices and Safety consistently throughout the building throughout the day. These character traits will be introduced to students along with ways to demonstrate these qualities here at New Prospect and beyond. Through PAWS we will establish a positive school culture where all students can self-manage and excel in their learning. Below are PAWS expectations school wide and in fourth grade.
- Students are given points for following expectations built around NPE's PAWS Expectations, which include: Pride (I care about my work and my school), Attitude (I think positively), Wise Choices (I use my words and actions carefully), and Safety (I protect myself and everything around me).
- Students will be able to cash in points at the classroom store each Friday and the last Friday of the month at the Panther PAWS Pantry for larger prizes.
- Students are expected to become resourceful and independent. We are giving them the tools to succeed, as well as guiding and facilitating their learning.
