We hope you all had a great weekend - and a Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mothers!
We are so excited to finally have Milestones behind us; we know the kids did awesome and we are all SO proud of their growth and accomplishments this year! We have entered the final countdown, so please read on for this week's important reminders/announcements...
Some General Reminders and Announcements:
Spring Showcase!: Spring Showcase will be on Tuesday, May 14th from 5-7:30. Students will be showing off their awesome Rube Goldberg creations in class that they have worked so hard on, and there will also be other fun events (like the Art Show!) occurring around school, too! We hope to see you there! :)
Field Day: Field day is THIS Friday, May 17th! Student are encouraged to dress up and wear their HOUSE COLORS!
- Fire House: Red
- Earth House: Green
- Water House: Blue
- Air House: Yellow
We will be outside for a majority of the day (until about 11) , so please send kiddos to school with sunscreen already applied. Students may also bring towels for the water stations if they would like (we are usually dry by the time we head in for lunch, but they can bring it just in case).
Class Parties: Our class End-of-Year parties will be on Tuesday, May 21st from 12:30-2. Volunteers are needed to help run these events, so please consider signing up if you are available! Our wonderful CAT moms have sent out a Sign-Up Genius link - please reach out to them if you did not receive it. If you are volunteering, you must be approved through Fulton County Schools. Also, just a gentle reminder that only parents who are volunteering will be permitted to attend the parties. Thank you!
Medications at the Clinic: If you have any medications for your child at the clinic, please be sure to pick them up prior to the last day of school! Thank you for your
Latest Panther Press: Check the latest edition of the Panther Press from Mrs. Lemons which came out last week (4/30)! https://www.smore.com/ybgtn
A Note from Student Council: Have any empty or dry markers you don’t need? Instead of throwing them away, donate them back to Crayola for them to be to re-purposed. It’s called Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing program devised to re-purpose used markers rather than sending them to landfills! All around New Prospect Elementary, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. There will be an empty bin located by the lost and found for all your discarded markers. Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included! Remember, don’t throw out that used marker--ColorCycle it!
