From Erin Goldman:
Are you looking to volunteer next year? We are looking for a 5th grade parent to support Ms. Davis and be the 5th grade STEM class coordinator. We are looking for anyone who is interested in supporting the STEM class next year (formerly Science Lab). We are trying to get 1-2 parents per grade to support Ms. Davis. A 5th grade representative is needed! If you are interested, please reach out to Erin Goldman, Ms. Robson, or the 4th grade team and we will put you in contact with the correct person! :) Thank you in advance! Happy (final) Monday 4th Grade Panther Families!
Can you believe it's already the last week of school?! We definitely can't!! It's been SUCH an amazing school year this year, and it has been our pleasure spending our days with your precious babies! While it's bittersweet to let them go, we know they will do amazing things next year in 5th grade!! Below are our final reminders for the school year! Some General Reminders and Announcements: A reminder from the Cafeteria/Media Center: Please make sure any outstanding cafe charges and lost book balances are paid in full this week. Report cards cannot be distributed until all charges have been paid. If there are any balances let over on Thursday, report cards will be delivered to the front office after dismissal and they will be kept in the front office for parent pick up over the summer. 4th Grade End of the Year Party: Tomorrow, May 24th is our end of the year party from 12:30 - 2. Thank you to our wonderful CAT moms and party planning committee for planning what will be a spectacular party! If you know you will be attending, please let your child's homeroom teacher know so we can send a list up to Ms. Batley of who is to expect. Thank you so much in advance! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!! Yearbook Signing: Please have students bring in their yearbooks tomorrow (5/24) for our yearbook signing! :) Report Cards: Reports cards will be going home on THURSDAY. Envelopes will include report cards, progress skills checklists and STAR parent letters. Please look our for those on Thursday :) Again, thank you all for such a wonderful school year! We have enjoyed every minute of teaching this fantastic group! We sincerely hope you have an AMAZING summer, and we cannot wait to see the kiddos in the fall as FIFTH GRADERS! All our best, Mrs. Alterman, Ms. Densmore, Ms. Getzfred and Ms. Spaeth (almost Corbin!) Hello Panther Families! Yesterday was a fun-filled, sunny Field Day! (We really lucked out considering today's weather!)Thank you to all the parents who volunteered in one way or another! We could not have done it without your help and we know the kids love seeing you all there! We also got to end the day with an extra-long recess rewarded to us from Mrs. Robson since our students were all so generous during the book fair as we collected loose change to raise money for kids who cannot afford to buy books! In addition, fourth grade earned a pajama day due to donating the highest amount of money from this Book Fair collection! On Monday, we will have our special pajama day for our grade only! Students may wear slippers and bring a stuffed animal too if they would like, but they need to bring shoes for PE and recess that can go outside. :) Below are the rest of our updates- we have lots going on in fourth grade! :) Some General Reminders and Announcements: Safety Patrol: Ms. McLeod asked us to communicate the following information to you all regarding safety patrols: “Over the next two weeks, our newly recruited safety patrols will be practicing and learning from their 5th grade patrol mentors. Last Friday, students attended the second training which included where and when they would be on post for the next couple of weeks. I’m very sorry that I did not communicate this earlier to you! Students will not be penalized in any way for their attendance during these first few days- it’s only a chance to practice and learn from their peers. In addition, morning safety patrols should be dropped off before 7:05 in order to unpack and be on post by 7:10. Afternoon patrols should be picked up in the carpool lane around 2:30-2:35. They sould be dismissed from afternoon class by 2:16, drop their bags in the front office or counseling suite (prime time students only) and be on post by 2:19. If you have questions or concerns, you can reach us @ [email protected] (Mrs. McLeod) [email protected] (Mrs. Fash), or [email protected] (Mrs. Levine).” End of the Year Party: Our End of the Year Party organized by our wonderful CAT moms will be next Tuesday, May 24th from 12:30-2. We hope to see you there as we celebrate the end of an amazing school year! Pajama Day next Monday: Fourth grade earned a pajama day due to donating the highest amount of money from this Book Fair collection! On Monday, we will have our special pajama day for our grade only! Students may wear slippers and bring a stuffed animal too if they would like, but they need to bring shoes for PE and recess that can go outside. :) We are so proud of our kiddos for this amazing accomplishment - they have such kind hearts! Preventing the Summer Slide: Please do not forget that students still have the ability to log in and use IXL, the 4th Grade Weebly and Mackinvia resources all summer long! Mackinvia is a portal that gives the students easy access to some WONDERFUL sites such as BrainPop, TrueFlix (social studies based), ScienceFlix, Tumblebooks and so much more! Some kiddos have also been asking if they can use the Weebly over the summer and next year in 5th grade, and the answer is ABSOLUTELY! That is why we created this website! :) Homework & Important Dates for the Week of May 16th:
