We hope you all had a great weekend! We are ready for another jam packed week of learning in 4th grade! Below are our reminders, announcements, and homework schedule for the week. As always, please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions!
Some General Reminders and Announcements:
A Huge Thank you! Thank you to everyone who sent in treats for Friday's Writing Celebration! The kids had an awesome time reading each other's fantastic stories, and enjoying some yummy treats, too! Thank you parents for helping us make that happen! :)
4th Graders Need Poster Board! :) Today we started our first mini project for our fun March Madness author study unit! Towards the end of the first project, students will need plain white poster boards to re-create either their author, or their author's most famous character. Students will also need to cut an oval in their board (towards the top) to fit their face. Traditional poster board, or foam board will do just fine (*no tri-boards, please). The sooner these poster boards can come in, the better (though students won't officially need them until next week).
A March Madness overview, and Project 1: All About the Author details can be found by clicking the buttons at the top of this blog post. All of this information can also be found in your child's March Madness Google Classroom.
In-House Field Trip Permission Forms: If you have not turned these in, please send them in ASAP! Thank you!
American Red Cross Blood Drive 3/10: The 5th grade TAG students are hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive at NPES on Tuesday March 10 from 8:30 - 1:30. The drive is open to Fulton County employees and NPES parents (I.D. required). You can sign up now for a time to donate:

Cool fact: You can track where your blood goes and how/where it helps a person in need!
Important Upcoming Dates:
Please note that test dates are always considered tentative. If in the future the team decides that a test date needs to be changed (usually in the form of being pushed back if we feel that the students are not ready), we will communicate the change to you all. Until then, these dates represent our assessment plan.
