We had middle schools come and read to our 4th and 5th grade classes today about the importance of access to clean water. If you can, please consider helping them reach their fundraising goal.
What are we focusing on this upcoming week?
Writing: We continued working on our argumentative essay drafts and focused on text structure. Next week, students will work on finishing and publishing their essays.
Reading: This week we will completed the iReady reading diagnostic and read an argumentative-expository text. Next week, we will read an argumentative & procedural text and work on finding text structure and author’s perspective. We will practice and prepare for their unit 3 test on Wednesday 12/14.
Math: We worked on multiplying fractions briefly this week. Next week, we will continue multiplying fractions and solving word problems involving multiple operations involving fractions.
