Hello Parents & Students!
What are we focusing on this upcoming week?
- Writing: We are continuing with argumentative essays! This week we read about the pros and cons of building in flood zones. We read three sources on the topic, created a strong claim, thought of important reasons, and gathered evidence. Next week, we will work on bringing everything together and writing the essay focusing on a strong introduction and conclusion.
- Reading: We will be switching gears and heading into reading realistic fiction. We will read two stories and focus on the standard RL3 (Describe in depth a character, setting, or event in a story or drama, drawing on specific details in the text (e.g., a character's thoughts, words, or actions)). We will also be learning about idioms!
- Math:
- 4.1 Students will continue with place value! We will be working on standard form, expanded form, and word form as well as comparing numbers and rounding.

iReady Reports:
