We hope you had a wonderful weekend! Can you believe Spring Break is around the corner! We have 10 instructional days left, with SO much today! Please read below for this week's information! There is a lot going on! :)
Write Score: On Wednesday, students will be taking their next Write Score on an opinion topic. This will take up the entire reading and writing block in the afternoon. Both students and teachers use Write Score data to understand where they/students are as writers, as well as ways they can improve their writing. The students have already grown SO much! We are so proud!
Georgia Milestones: Friday, students will have the opportunity in class to practice on the Georgia OAS platform to familiarize themselves with the program that will be used for Georgia Milestones. This is just for practice on the platform including using the tools and further understanding the format- the score does not affect your student in any way. If you would like more information regarding Georgia Milestones, please refer to our Weebly page at http://fourthgradenpes.weebly.com/georgia-milestones.html.
Relay for Life!: This week, our school is having a grade level competition to support Relay for Life and fund a cure for cancer. Mrs. Lilly, one of our fifth grade teachers, is sponsoring this event. Students can spend the week collecting as many coins as they can at home. On Friday, they can bring in these coins to put them in designated bottles in my classroom where they will be counted up. You can also go to the link and donate under fourth grade http://main.acsevents.org/goto/purplepanthers. The winning grade level will get to choose from a popsicle party, an ice cream party, or extra recess as a prize.
Chipotle Spirit Night: Thursday, 3/24 is Chipotle Spirit Night! :)
