" Dear All,
To successfully implement our Strategic Plan, our School Governance Council has developed a Request for Flexibility proposal. It is a detailed document that includes exactly what we are requesting, why, and how it would benefit our school. We have posted our Request for Flexibility proposal for 2016-17 on our New Prospect school webpage, School Governance Council Webpage, we have a paper copy in the front office, and all of these locations have feedback forms (paper and electronic) so we can collect your thoughts and feedback. We will be collecting feedback for 30 days. Please go to: www.npepanthers.org to access all documents related to our request for flexibility.
In a nutshell, we are asking for 4 full student release days – 2 each semester next school year. We want to use the 4 days to train staff in Project Based Learning. There is an informational flyer about Project Based Learning in the front office and on our webpage. Our current plan is to begin training instructional staff for 3 days during the summer of 2016, then complete the training during the school year. The dates we selected align with Webb Bridge MS and Alpharetta HS requests for student release days for 2016-17. Please review our proposal and provide feedback. You can also provide feedback in person at our next School Governance meeting on November 16th at 7:15 a.m. or at our Curriculum Chat on November 30th at 11:00 a.m. or November 30th at 6:00 p.m.
Please take a few minutes to provide us with feedback – your opinions are important to your council and the flexibility process!"
