Hello Panther Families!
We cannot believe it is already May- only one month left of school! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We have a very busy couple of weeks coming up in fourth grade- here are our updates! Some General Reminders and Announcements: Warmer Weather: Just a quick reminder- as it gets warmer out, students come in extra thirsty from running around in the heat at recess! They are more than welcome to bring in water bottles, as it saves us time from crowding around the water fountains in the classroom and hallway. They can fill them up throughout the day too! :) STAR Testing: This week and next week students will be taking their STAR tests in math and reading. This is our last STAR assessment for most of our students. Please remember, this is always just one data point that we use to determine strengths and weaknesses for each of our students. Spring Showcase: Wednesday night is our Spring Showcase at New Prospect! There will be lots of fun events going on including our book fair, the art show, and classroom visits! Fourth grade will be showing a 'snap show of our year'! The kids are having a fun time reliving their 4th grade memories! Book Fair: Please see our previous post about book fair preview and buying days for your kiddos class :) Science Lab: This week and next week students will be visiting Panther Pete's Science Lab to review force and motion and to learn about ecosystems. Thank you again to ALL of the volunteers that have signed up to make this possible for our students! Homework & Important Dates for the Week of May 2nd: Monday (5/2)
