Last week, your child was introduced to our new science unit: Stars, Star Patterns, and Planets. Your child has learned about our universe, the Milky Way, constellations, and stars! This week, we will be learning more about planets, Earth's tilt, rotation, revolution, and seasons. They will also learn about the phases of the moon! Students will have a vocabulary quiz on Tuesday, October 27th.

Standards for the Stars, Star Patterns, and Planets Unit:
S4E1 - Students will compare and contrast the physical attributes of stars, star patterns, and planets.
S4E2 - Students will model the position and motion of the earth in the solar system and will explain the role of relative position and motion in determining sequence of the phases of the moon.

Monday (10/26/15): Study for tomorrow's vocabulary quiz
Wednesday (10/28/15): Read Planets in Our Solar System mini-booklet (20-25 minutes)
