Welcome Back Panthers! This week we are working on completing choice boards. Students will have till December 3rd (next Monday) to complete their choice boards. Students have been learning about the formation of our government the past few weeks, and now students are changing things up a bit. Students are now learning about the three branches of government, and how each branch operates.
This week, students will be learning all about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Students will be investigating the Preamble, Bill of Rights, and the 1st Amendment. Students will have hands on experiences this week and will be able to investigate their rights as Americans. While students are investigating the original document of our government, students will also be starting their Choice Boards for the unit, this Thursday. We are very excited to dive deeper into the start of our government, and hope students learn a lot about what the Constitution is, and what rights we have within it.
Happy Monday Panthers!
This week students are kicking off the second unit in our Social Studies curriculum! In this unit, students will be learning about the creation of the Constitution, its writers, and collaborators, the Preamble, and the Bill of Rights. Students kicked off the unit today, by diving into the vocabulary of the unit and testing their knowledge. Later this week, students will be learning about the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitutional Convention. Be sure to ask them what they are learning throughout the week!
