This week, your child has continued Unit 3: Stars, Star Patterns, and Planets instruction. Your child has learned about our universe, the Milky Way, constellations, and stars! Last week, we introduced planets, Earth's tilt, rotation, revolution, and seasons. This week, students will review what they have learned, and students will also learn more about the phases of the moon! Students will be getting their Unit 3 study guide on Monday, November 2nd!

Unit 3 Assessment - Tuesday, November 10th
Standards for the Stars, Star Patterns, and Planets Unit:
S4E1 - Students will compare and contrast the physical attributes of stars, star patterns, and planets.
S4E2 - Students will model the position and motion of the earth in the solar system and will explain the role of relative position and motion in determining sequence of the phases of the moon.
Social Studies/Science Homework for the Week:
Monday (11/2/15): Begin filling in Unit 3 study guide/study
Wednesday (11/4/15): Complete Unit 3 study guide/study
