Writing: This week, we are continuing our unit on Opinion writing! Students will review their work on leads and endings through a bend grade rubric. We are also focusing on including strong reasons by strengthening and broadening our evidence. Students will start working on another piece this week, if they are ready, focusing on a persuasive opinion, as opposed to a personal opinion.
Language Arts: This week, we are learning about prepositional phrases. This standard focuses on what a preposition is, as well as how a prepositional phrases helps us to strengthen our sentences to make them fourth grade appropriate. Students will be expected to incorporate this skill into their writing on a regular basis in order to practice using them.
