We hope you all had a great weekend! It's hard to believe that it is already MARCH! How did that even happen?! As quickly as March has approached, the month will continue to fly by, too, as we inch closer to Spring Break. We are ready to get this month underway, so please see below for our reminders and announcements!
Some General Reminders and Announcements:
March Madness: Students are beginning a new, FUN unit in both reading and writing that we have dubbed 'March Madness'. This is one of two test prep units we will tackle to prepare for Ga Milestones. While you can read more about March Madness on our RELA blog, we do have some supply needs for two of our projects. For our first project, students will need a traditional white poster board for their 'wax museum' presentation on their author. For our third project, students will need to bring in a plain envelope with a stamp. We will be writing to our author during the third project, and students will be taught how to address their envelopes, we just need the plain envelopes with paid postage already on them. These can be sent in as early as you would like. Thank you in advance!
*Please see the RELA blog for a detailed March Madness post. Students have also joined a March Madness Google Classroom created by their teacher(s) that house ALL March Madness project information. We encourage you to ask your child to show you their March Madness Google Classroom, and have them teach you about the projects they will be working on over the course of the month!
No School 3/8 & 3/11: Please do not forget that students will be off on both Friday and Monday (these are an RFF day and a Teacher Workday, respectively.) Have a wonderful 4 day weekend!
